Penned Grace does one thing: it keeps you company while you write scripture, word by word. Here is everything in the first release.

01Writing

Three modes: Trace, copy or type. All three count toward the day.
Pens and weights: Fountain pen, pencil or ballpoint, with five line weights. The ink responds to Apple Pencil pressure.
Writing grids: Dots, a four-square grid, a cross grid, or no grid.
Auto-advance: Pause for 1.2 seconds and the next word comes up. You can also step back and forward yourself.
Eraser, undo, clear: Made a mistake? Erase it and write again. Clear wipes the current character, and Undo brings it back.

Built-in translations: The Berean Standard Bible and the Chinese Union Version 1919 (Traditional and Simplified), offline.
Downloadable translations: The World English Bible and the King James Version, when you want them.
Parallel view: Open a second translation beside the passage.
Search: By reference or keyword. English word stems are matched.
Favorites: Keep the verses you want to write again.

A page in your hand: Finished writing takes its place in the passage.
Replay: Watch the whole session again, stroke by stroke.
PDF export: Export a piece as a PDF to print or keep.
Share cards: A card with just the verse and your handwriting. Reflections are never included.
Reflections: Thirty guiding questions in rotation. Note a line and a mood. Never included on share cards or PDFs.

Verse of the day: A 90-day rotation plus readings for five seasons of the church year. The day turns over at midnight.
Reading plans: Psalm 119, Psalms in 30 Days, Proverbs in 31 Days and Philippians Selections.
A quiet pause: A moment of stillness and one of 30 prayers before writing. Easy to turn off.
Daily reminder: Off, 7:00, 12:00 or 21:00. Scheduled on your phone alone, never through a server.
Calendar and milestones: See each day’s mark on a calendar. Twelve milestones stay once earned.

On your phone first: Everything is stored on the device. Every feature works without an account.
Optional cloud backup: Tapping “Sync now” creates an anonymous account that only you can read.
Sign in with Apple: Your writing follows your Apple Account to a new phone.
Delete cloud data: Remove everything in the cloud at any time from Cloud sync.
Backup file: Export a backup file to keep yourself, and restore it later.

Three interface languages: English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese, chosen separately from the translation.
Devices: iPhone and iPad with iOS / iPadOS 16.4 or later. Android will follow.
